Everyone has
a favorite person. Some people think that could be a fictional character in a
novel. Others would like to choose an actor, a singer, or a famous politician.
Me, my favorite person is a family member, my grandmother, because she is
generous, compassionate, and gentle.
My grandmother is a very devout
Muslim and always smiles at everyone when sees people. Even though she is over
70 years old she is still beautiful in my eyes, loving, caring, and the
strongest figure in my life. She likes to spend time doing worship at night.
She has taught me many things related to her life experiences and useful advice
that I remember every day. I have many inspirational people that surround me,
but I have considered my grandmother as my second mother has made her my
favorite person in the world.
Just sitting with him made me
comfortable. She smelled of sweet coconut and her skin was warm despite her
age. I love her laughter, and how her eyes shine optimistic and full of life.
She always buys breakfast for us when my mom goes out to work in the morning.
But I got to know that she was my aunt because I had lived with her since I was
little and my real grandmother lived with my uncle. I don't care if she's my
aunt, for me she's still my grandmother.
She is no ordinary woman. He is still
strong doing work that requires a lot of energy even though he has diabetes,
high blood pressure, and high cholesterol. My favorite memory about him is that
he always taught me how to cook delicious food. The first food I cooked was
fried rice. I also always help her cook food when my mother is busy working at
work. That is the memory I cherish. I praise my grandmother for her strength.
My family told me that I was like him, and if I was like him, I wouldn’t
complain. The reason my grandmother lived with me since childhood is because my
family lived with her and my grandmother or my aunt has not had children since
she got married.
Through life, we learn lessons,
mostly through the people we meet and the situations we work on. I think the little
things learned to make a difference in life. I learned a lot from him, and
together they made me what I am now. He may not be the most patient at times,
but he is very patient with me. My grandmother is my favorite person. He has
carved himself into my heart with a silk knife. Love and Respect cannot just be
forced on a person but is a process like any relationship done with patience,
acceptance, and frustration. I knew I would succeed in my life, because of him
and my parents. I have learned not to give up, even if the world is against
you. Because of his compassion and forgiveness, I have come to know the desire
to live and feel content even in a vague world.
